Production Manager

The Brand |
 Our client requires no introduction – with sophisticated product categories across evening, bridal and RTW – they have thriving channels across retail, eComm and wholesale and recent international expansion.
 
The Role |

Working closely in communication with the Design and Design room team - this role is critical to creating quality garments and a seamless process for a team to work together to achieve a high level of efficiency and contribution to the success of the business.

  • Responsible for on time deliveries from suppliers of all garments at the highest quality standards from SMS design handover to shipment.

  • Manage timeline and accessories for all manufacturers

  • Measure and control fit of garment approvals [salesman, pre-production and shipment samples]

  • Manage and organise garment fit sessions. Translate technical fit improvements and alterations to suppliers

  • Maintain Critical Path Design to Production Handover

  • Conduct regular meetings with Design, Planners and dispatch to discuss progress / issues

  • Developing and evolving company standards of production processes and team management

  • New development factory allocation review with design for each seasonal collection ensuring capable and high-quality execution from start to finish.

  • Present to Team weekly on production updates and delivery schedule.

  • Responsible for fabrications, printing, dye, wash and garment construction management and approvals.

  • Working closely with local suppliers

 
The Skillset |
 
You are an experienced Production Manager with at least 5 years experience in production – you are highly skilled in negotiation with suppliers and understand just how valuable these relationships are to the success of the business.

  • An understanding of garment construction

  • A background in high end or luxury fashion

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word)

  • Experience handling high-end product with intricate detailing

  • The ability to work to a timeline and adhere to deadlines

  • The ability to work autonomously and have a high level of organization

  • The ability to follow quality systems and procedures

  • Experience with hand sewing and or alteration techniques is a plus but not essential
