The Brand |
This Australian luxury retailer requires no introduction – a leading brand renowned for their original prints, and sophisticated design – they have expanded globally with a focus on key markets across UK, EU, America, and with further expansion imminently into new markets.
The Role |
In this role you will see yourself buying existing product lines utilizing sound analytics combined with innovative ideas to provide strategic growth plans. As new categories and product lines mature to utilize these skills to grow them in line with overall business and design directives.
Your responsibilities will include:
Range Building – Consulting with designers, working on pre and in season range development, providing regular feedback to design on sales, trends, competitors and areas of opportunity. While also reviewing and aligning product strategy based on business performance and company/global market analysis.
Buying – Buying for global business, managing OTB from end to end, manages success of each collection through developing and driving strategies, optimize buying to maximize opportunities by market.
Pre & In season Management – working with buying & planning managers to identify opportunities based on sales performance, working with the retail, online and marketing teams to help drive sales on socials and retail channels and participating in international and domestic store visits.
Reporting – Weekly and monthly analysis of all retail reporting, seasonal analysis by collection and compiling EOS summaries.
The Skillset |
4-5 years of retail buying experience gained within a fashion and/or luxury environment.
Experience working ideally with an international brand with 50 plus stores
Experience in Range Building and Product Development.
Strong eye for luxury products.
Commercial awareness and strong business acumen.
Proven ability to drive results.
Forecasting and analytical experience - ability to run detailed reports, strong analytical skills, with a strong aptitude for numbers.
Proficient in Excel with demonstrated ability to create excel-based reports and templates.
Experience with a retail management system like AP21.
