The Brand |

This company is a fast-growing scale up specialising in hair-care products stocked across major retailers Chemist Warehouse, Coles, Priceline and into the US with CVS Pharmacy and Target. Led by Founders who have created multiple successful eCommerce and Wholesale businesses in the haircare and beauty industry, this is an incredible opportunity to join them as a Brand Manager.

The Role |

This role will replace the Founders as a Brand Manager – you will lead the overall marketing and sales strategy, lead and inspire the team to drive sales to the next level, as they continue to expand into the US and expand their eCommerce presence, building a balanced omni-channel mix across D2C and wholesale partners.

As the Brand Manager you will lead the strategy, product and commercial aspects of the brand, utilising data, insights and innovation to drive their market share and brand awareness.

  • Accountable for developing and executing strategies and plans in partnership with internal multidiscipline teams, manufacturers and agency partners as required.

  • Develop the annual brand strategy to deliver on key consumer objectives including creative campaign strategy, media channel strategy and on-equity, value-adding brand promotion strategy

  • Working collaboratively with the founder, define partnership and collaboration strategy.

  • Devise influencer, affiliate, collaboration, and partnership strategy

  • Deliver purpose activation strategy, partnerships, and purpose content strategy.

  • Drive community engagement strategy.

  • Manage a team of 2-4 people

  • Establish and deliver a holistic, rolling marketing calendar aligned to brand objectives.

  • Lead content development & execution in line with creative and media channel strategy.

  • Lead creative campaign execution including video & photo shoots, model agencies, stylists, and photography for campaigns.

The Skillset |

We’re seeking someone with experience working with innovative, high-performing online brands, particularly in e-commerce and retail with a global focus, and you will have a proven track record of scaling brands. This is a hands-on role and ideally you have come from a Founder led business where being in the trenches with your team and leading from the front is part of your DNA.

  • Proven success in e-commerce and retail, ideally with a global focus.

  • Leadership skills to guide and align the team effectively.

  • A strategic thinker with a strong track record—someone ready to hit the ground running without requiring time for trial and error.

  • 5+ years marketing and general commercial experience (Consumer Goods environment)

  • Evident brand development and execution through eCommerce, social and physical channels

  • Experience working with marketing, digital, creative, content and PR agencies ideally

  • Experience in working with retail customers and distributor partners including experience in driving commercial alignment and executing initiatives would be ideal

  • Passionate about Beauty & Wellness and an outstanding brand marketer, creative, strategic, commercial and execution orientated

  • Extremely comfortable with data analytics, with highly developed excel skills.

The Offer |

This role is currently remote from Melbourne, but with imminent plans to establish a local Melbourne workspace in the new year, moving the role from remote to hybrid with an emphasis on flexibility.  There is a significant salary offering available reflective of the experience level and calibre of candidate required.
