Team TM Takes Melbourne Fashion Festival 2025

Melbourne really comes alive when it comes to fashion! The Melbourne Fashion Festival (MFF) is one of Australia's largest fashion events, where anything goes. This makes it the best people-watching event for someone who truly loves fashion.

Here, you will see fashion trends brought to life, admire the beautiful (if, like me, lust after someone's handbag), and appreciate the bold, show-casing looks you've only ever seen on socials or in a magazine. It’s guaranteed you will leave feeling inspired.

What is the Melbourne Fashion Festival, you ask? This event is part of Victoria's Major Events calendar that truly promotes Melbourne’s existing reputation as the fashion capital. It showcases Australian fashion designers through runways, workshops, and other events.

The MFF is something I look forward to every year! It marks the start of birthday month, makes for a fun date night with my husband, and lets me see the latest fashions showcased on a grand scale.

So, what will you be seeing for A/W 25? Suede! Lots of browns and Bordeaux, prints – especially leopard, boho blouses, and sneakers still dominating the footwear department.

This year, we were exceptionally lucky to have this as a Team Talent Mill event, attending the first two nights of the festival – the opening showcase and National Designer Award X David Jones. It’s always a blast when we all get together.

On night two we attended the National Designer Awards and were spoiled with VIP passes AND most importantly, one of our lovely clients, Lovaan Studios were being featured.

This particular runway is a great representation of the very best Australian fashion brands right now. We were so excited to celebrate Anna Pipkorn, founder of Lovaan, who won the People’s Choice Award! YAY!

Once it was over, we ended the night with dinner at Chin Chin! If you haven’t been, get there ASAP! It’s best known for BIG flavours, innovative dining options and a lively atmosphere (for a Tuesday night, it was pumping!)

As I write this, I can’t help but think, how much do we let trends dictate our style? Are you one to jump on board with the trend and let it wear you, or do you incorporate it slightly into your own personal style?

I believe my style changes every year. There are parts of my style that become minimalistic, but I’m definitely a sucker for going bold and jumping on the latest trends in some way. My thought is that you need to have fun with fashion and enjoy the moments where you look back at photos and think, "What was I thinking?"

Until next time, X
