The Brand |

We are searching for a Senior Fashion Designer with an innovative fashion brand in stunning St Peters offices in Sydney. Trading for more than 25 years – this Australian brand is a staple in the modern women’s wardrobe, and is currently expanding under new senior leadership, with new concept stores rolling out nation wide.

The Role |

Reporting to the Lead Designer, the Senior Designer plays a pivotal role in contributing to the creative and strategic development of the brand's product offerings. The purpose of this role is to bring the brand aesthetic to life through innovative and trend-driven designs, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and market demands. By collaborating closely with the Lead Designer and Designers, the Senior Designer will be instrumental in the end-to-end design process.

  • Design product for seasonal collections, ensuring alignment to the brands strategic vision, you are responsible for designing and creating compelling designs and are accountable for the relevance and execution of the global and market trends.

  • Work in collaboration with the Lead Designer, Creative Director and Head of Product to fulfil the retail OTB, design and deliver highly relevant, on-trend, commercial product; with a clear brand image that appeals to our customer. Actively assist the Lead Designer to develop and strengthen the ranges and the design team.

  • Ensure the range increases brand competitiveness, maximize sales, and achieve financial targets/margins, whist adhering to the critical path and all quality requirements.

The Skillset |

  • Strong technical confidence, with the ability to communicate articulately and effectively

  • 4-5 years in a Fashion Design role within an aligned brand

  • Strong background in product design/management with the ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility whilst being able to work independently.

  • Be passionate and enthusiastic about fashion with a distinct sense of trends, design and construction. Be responsible with a “make it happen” approach.

  • Strong foundation in PC & MAC software, visual/interface design using Adobe CS suites.

  • Must be highly detail oriented, organized, the ability to set standards and execute, as well as having strong sense of priority and follow through skills, ensuring that deadlines are met.

  • Ability to work in a team driven atmosphere with the ability to flex to personality styles and build strong working relationships internally & externally.

  • Enjoy refining systems and processes to make them more efficient whilst increasing margin.
