The Client |

With a dedication to sustainable and ethical sourcing and manufacturing this is an incredible opportunity to join the design team as a Product Developer.

The Role |

You will translate designs into technical design specs and work with vendors to develop the designs into samples that are well executed, delivered on time and achieving margin requirements.

  • Translate designs into CAD drawings that accurately reflect the intended designs.

  • Prepare, establish and maintain technically sound garment specifications and tech packs for each style in each category including construction details, fabric and trim specifications.

  • Work in collaboration with the design and production team to ensure the new product design is interpreted and manufactured to the correct standard with adherence to critical path deadlines.

  • Developing and sourcing of fabrics/ trims and hardware in accordance to seasonal design objectives.

  • Oversee quality control; ensuring all fabrics, trims and treatments are prepared, approved, and meet required quality, sustainability and performance standard.

  • Sourcing of fabrics and trims as requested by the design team, ensuring timely submission and communication to vendor for approvals.

  • Fabric enquiries and management of the fabric tracker. Communication to design team regarding approvals and sample roll arrival times to the design studio.

  • Reviewing and approving all prints, fabrications relating to the development of the products, fabrics and trims.

  • Timely communication and responses to submissions from vendors.

  • Attend fit sessions with key stakeholders in the design and production team and ensure accurate and detailed fit comments to makers and offshore vendors.

The Skillset |

Minimum 5 year’s experience in a similar role but more importantly is the culture fit – if you don’t meet this experience level or are operating at a more senior level – we still encourage your application!

  • Energetic, positive and driven individual

  • Fashion tertiary qualification

  • Advanced experience in Excel and Illustrator

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Well organised with exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong understanding of garment construction and high-end finishes

  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships at all levels
