The Role |
In this role you will manage SMS to production workflow taking over from Range Reviews for all samples for all product ranges in line with the seasonal critical path. You will work closely with key counterparts, including the Creative Director, design, and production to achieve the vision of each collection in line with Creative Director’s expectations for quality. You will manage a talented team of Garment Techs and Patternmakers working collaboratively to achieve this vision.
Work closely with patternmakers to achieve the best fit in line with the Design team’s vision.
Monitor Pattern interpretation rate from design to actual sample styles.
Responsible for checking all fit models’ measurements to ensure that they are in line with our measurements and to make patternmakers aware of any measurements that are not specific to the standard measurement to prevent any fit issues.
Work alongside the QA Manager to identify any inconsistencies between styles in fabric and trim before development.
Ensure that all production schedules are met and communicated with the pattern makers so that the needs of all departments are achieved across all key seasonal deadlines.
The Skillset |
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a Luxury brand.
Ideally experience with CLO3D, or similar digital patternmaking program
Tertiary qualifications in Fashion from a respected institution and have achieved outstanding results.
Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of garment construction, fit, finish and pattern making.
Experience with a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and computer pattern making
Be able to combine creative and technical skills.
Can work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Be exceptionally well organized with the ability to problem solve efficiently and work reactively to change.
