The Brand |

Our client is an internationally renowned leading health and beauty brand with a range of products that focus on beauty from within. With an engaged and driven team that live and breathe their ethos they are looking for an Accountant to join their team that will be mentored by a talented CFO.

The Role |

The role of the Accountant is to provide administrative support for all financial accounting work involving the compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data, as directed by the CFO.

The role also prepares ledger and journal entries, fixed asset accounting, preparation of financial statements, cost accounting, maintenance of Accounts Receivable ledger and bank reconciliations. The role will be involved in preparing and lodging statutory returns for the brand.

  • Preparation of periodic reports including cost reports, sales reports, trial balances, balance sheets and profit and loss statements.

  • Manages Bank Reconciliations on Weekly basis.

  • Liaises with the Sales Coordinators and ensures the timely receipting of AR collections.

  • Responsible for COGS / margin review by Channel/Key Customer monthly.

  • Responsible for Monthly SOH Summary preparation and Review.

  • Monthly Intercompany Loan Account reconciliations.

  • Assists the CFO in the preparation and consolidation of all financial reporting including the annual financial statements, for all Group entities.

  • Prepare statutory and taxation returns, ABS & statutory returns, approval of BAS Returns and approval of FBT Returns and Payroll Taxes

  • Liaison with AU, NZ, UK, and US Tax agents in terms of various taxation submission

  • Provide support and back-up for Accounts Receivable to ensure the appropriate management of aged AR.

  • Responsible for managing the accounts inbox and liaison with the bookkeeper for weekly accounts payable payment run.

  • Prepare monthly and Annual PAYG reconciliations

  • Report to CFO on Leave balances.

  • Preparation, Review and timely Lodgment of all Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Payroll returns including Payroll Taxes, Workers Compensation insurance, Superannuation, PAYG, etc

The Skillset |

  • Financial Accountant with 5 years plus experience in retail and/or wholesale environments.

  • Degree qualified

  • Study towards CA/ CPA Qualified.

  • Advanced Excel skills (able to write and use macros, pivot tables and report writing) as well as sound knowledge of Microsoft office.
