Product Developer (Brand Manager)

The Brand |
Australian award-winning licensed merchandise leader representing some of the world's most iconic and premium brands.  They offer a unique and diverse product range of both retail and promotional packages, and manage end to end design process to Licensees This role is responsible for all online sales channels and digital representation of the organisation.

This role requires a person who has a passion for both brand and product. You will work closely with the Sales Team and Procurement Team and collaborative across the Brand Team to manage end to end product development of hardgoods in a specific category for national retailers. Develop and maintain an effective and mutually beneficial relationship between the company and brand customer base. Service and Co-Ordinate with a broad range of stakeholders, such as licensors, agencies, suppliers, various internal company departments

The Role |

The role will include but no be limited to:

  • Oversee product development from inception to finished product.

  • Understanding all contract requirements for all brands within portfolio, including products and royalties.

  • Champion brand and product portfolio to ensure that contract obligations are met.

  • Prepare Sales Analysis and brand forecasting.

  • Conduct Distribution Analysis, annual Marketing and Brand Plans

  • Undertake market research and analysis.

  • Manage Product Launch Plans

  • Manage Product Lifecycle

  • Maintain Stock control including ordering.

  • Build and maintain product specification catalogue.

  • Prepare and present reports and presentation desks. This includes retail pitch decks and marketing updates for brand owners.

  • Assist with the preparation of retail planograms for presentation

  • AP21 functions – Including but not limited to product set up, pricing, purchase and production orders

  • Web maintenance - product images, ensuring consistency in description.

  • PO Attachments – product specifications, product information, shipping marks, retailer specific information, liaising with procurement.

  • Build and Maintain retailer specification manuals.

  • Creative Briefs set up and manage creative priorities.

  • Resource efficient product costing and prepare costing sheets.

 The Skillset |

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing or Business

  • Commercial / Development experience in hard goods, apparel, homewares & gifting categories

  • 3-5 years’ exposure to processes and business practices in area of marketing/brand management role

  • Sales experience, persuasive and influential

  • PC literacy skills – Apparel 21, Outlook, Word processing, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Ability to handle several simultaneous priorities.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

  • A passion for both brand and product

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Time management and problem-solving ability
