The Role |

As the gatekeepers of the culture, you will support the executive leaders to achieve performance goals through effective people engagement. This is a hands on, strategic, and agile business – this role is central to the overall success of the business, and your role will be largely focused on cultivating an environment that can retain an exceptional culture through exponential growth.

You will develop and execute strategies that support the organisations people objectives – with a unwavering focus on scaling the business and culture simultaneously.

  • Lead and manage a small team of HR Business Partners and People & Culture Coordinators to provide support to the business leaders in all people matters

  • Partnering with senior leadership to provide strategic advice and insights on people-related matters, helping to drive decision-making and organisational effectiveness

  • Monitoring HR metrics and analytics to track key performance indicators, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement

  • Lead the development and implementation of People and Culture policies, programs, and initiatives that support the company's overall mission, vision, and strategic goals.

  • Develop and oversee projects from entering new markets to system initiatives

  • Developing and maintaining compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent while ensuring fairness, competitiveness, and compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy

  • Drive (hands on) the recruitment process, ensuring we attract and retain top talent

  • Leading efforts to foster a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace culture, promoting initiatives that celebrate diversity and create opportunities for all employees to thrive.

  • Overseeing all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, career development, and offboarding

The Skillset |

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in HR leadership roles

  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within a dynamic and high-growth company

  • Strong expertise in ER/IR, WHS, and team development

  • Strong background designing and rolling out Leadership and Development programs

  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels

  • A strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving

  • A commitment to championing diversity, inclusion, and servant leadership principles

  • Experience in scaling up a company

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labour laws, and regulations

  • Ideally have experience in retail, both bricks and mortar and online
